Kiva Welcomes New Board Member: John Muller, PayPal's Vice President of Global Payments Policy

Kiva is thrilled to announce the addition of John Muller, PayPal's Vice President of Global Payments Policy, to our Board of Directors.

John brings deep legal and regulatory expertise to the team and a true passion for Kiva’s mission. At PayPal, he served as General Counsel and Vice President of Legal before taking on his new role.

John’s experience will be invaluable as Kiva continues to navigate multi-country compliance and build financial systems that endure and grow. He’ll be joining the Board Audit Committee with long-time board member Tabreez Verjee.

John has a unique international perspective - he grew up in Latin America in an era when trade barriers and tight currency controls limited economic growth and increased internal conflict. That lead to a fascination with fostering prosperity and opportunity in communities around the world, through financial law and regulatory compliance. You can read more about John’s education background and experience here.

We are so pleased to have John on the team as Kiva enters its 10th year of working to make microfinance even more impactful and innovative.
