"Vital, vibrant, and necessary"

- Annie, FrankieLucky Bakeshop

My name is Annie Choi, and I've been so fortunate to have amazing experiences with Kiva. In Fall 2014, I raised my first Kiva loan of $5,000 -- I believe this was the fastest loan ever to be funded in Los Angeles. I needed that initial loan to cover some equipment costs for my first business, Found Coffee, in the Eagle Rock neighborhood of Los Angeles. I fully repaid that loan last week.

As of this morning, I fully raised $10,000 for my second business, FrankieLucy Bakeshop. It was fully funded in only 68 hours. According to my Kiva reps, that is the fastest any $10k loan has ever been funded in Kiva history. I am blown away at the generosity of my immediate community -- my friends, family, customers -- as well as the global Kiva community. I cannot thank you enough.

As an entrepreneur, my vision and passion is to create spaces that gather people from diverse backgrounds. My Kiva supporters and lenders have demonstrated that community is vital, vibrant, and necessary.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Kathinka moved to San Francisco to pursue her BBA degree, with a major in marketing. Being form Norway, she time to time misses the different seasons (especially winters with snow). One of her hobbies consists of finding a part of a city and explore it for a whole day. Checking out cool boutiques, and the best places to eat. Two of her favorite places to visit are Budapest and Vienna. No wonder her dream job would be to travel the world and write about the places she visits.
